Table Mountain Cableway needs your vote in the World MICE Awards

Table Mountain continues to draw attention and love from around the world, and a nomination in a global competition to find the best events spaces on the planet is further proof of this. For the first time ever, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) has been nominated in the World MICE Awards.

The annual contest celebrates and rewards excellence in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism. The World MICE Awards is the sister event of the World Travel Awards, another global contest in which TMACC has consistently performed well and claimed several wins.

In 2025, TMACC has been nominated for the Twelve Apostles Terrace in the “Best Africa MICE Event Venue” category alongside the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, The Events Train by Rovos Rail, The Boma, and Le Jardin Secret in Marrakech.

“We are overwhelmed by the nomination, and it shows our global peers are noticing the venue as a phenomenal event space. TMACC positions itself as a premier venue for various events, using our iconic location and awe-inspiring views. This combination is exactly why the Twelve Apostles Terrace is so popular and why we are confident we can bring the trophy home,” says Selma Hercules, Executive Director for TMACC.

The Twelve Apostles Terrace offers it all, she adds. “This is a spacious open-air venue ideal for larger gatherings, such as evening events, product launches, and year-end parties but is subject to the approval from SANParks. It can accommodate 200 or more guests for cocktail parties. While weather-dependent, its expansive views make it exceptional for grand outdoor events.

“All of this is done on top of a New7Wonders of Nature site, located inside the Table Mountain National Park. It really cannot get any better than that.”

The Twelve Apostles Terrace is part of several event venues hosted at TMACC:

• Upper Cable Station (Mountain Top Venues):
  – Twelve Apostles Terrace.
  – TEN67 Eatery: A versatile venue that can accommodate up to 60 guests indoors and an additional 40 outdoors.
  – VIEWS Deck & Balcony: An open-air venue facing the Twelve Apostles mountain range, suitable for up to 26 standing guests, also offering a more intimate and romantic indoor setting.
  – Views Indoors: A weather secure venue that can accommodate 60-70 pax for cocktail event or dinners.
• Lower Cable Station Venues:
  – VISTA: A modern, versatile indoor venue designed for both private and corporate gatherings.
  – TAP Bar: An inviting extension of VISTA with a splendid outdoor area, perfect for post-conference drinks or leisurely lunch breaks.

A public voting process runs until 19 September 2025. During this period, industry professionals, media and consumers are asked to vote for the nominees they consider the very best of the best in the industry.
