Wild Wakati Camp now open

Enduata Camps has unveiled its Wild Wakati Camp: a laid-back, immersive, tented safari experience in the heart of the Serengeti. Surrounded by a wealth of iconic African wildlife, it sits at the heart of a key stage of the Great Migration.

Wild Wakati is now open and will operate year-round, offering an intimate camp with thoughtful design and memorable safari experiences. Remote yet refined, the camp embodies The Enduata Experience: close encounters with the wilderness, effortless luxury and a deep connection to the land and community.

Spearheaded by co-owners Matt Wilkey & Michael Shayo (a Tanzanian guide with over 13 years of experience), Enduata Camps was born from a shared vision to create meaningful, breathtaking but low-impact safari experiences that benefit both wildlife and local communities. Its debut property, Wild Wakati Camp, brings this vision to life in one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes.

While at the start of its journey, Enduata Camps is committed to creating lasting benefits for wildlife, habitats and local communities through light-footprint tented camps handcrafted in nearby Arusha, responsible sourcing and meaningful employment. Every safari contributes directly to habitat protection, wildlife preservation and community wellbeing.

As the brand grows, Enduata will continue to work closely with local communities, park authorities and partners to ensure the Serengeti can be explored responsibly for generations to come.
