Join the Beach Clean-Up Weekend at De Hoop

Join De Hoop Collection, Morukuru Family Beach Lodge and CapeNature at De Hoop Nature Reserve for the Pristine Preservation Beach Clean-Up Weekend from 16 May to 18 May 2025 and engage in meaningful environmental work that will make a difference.

There’s always so much to see and do at the world renowned De Hoop Nature Reserve, a very unique and special place to connect with nature: a magic blend of deserted coastline, whales frolicking offshore, rolling sand dunes, fields of fynbos, bontebok, zebra and eland, the Ramsar vlei that is a birder’s paradise, the Potberg Mountain with the last breeding colony of vultures in the Western Cape… You can walk along the beach or laze, climb a white dune, duck into the sea to cool off when things heat up, go snorkelling – and now, you can do something different to preserve an ecological gem.

“We are excited to once again join with Morukuru Family De Hoop and CapeNature on this vital annual project in the ongoing battle against the pollution of our beaches and oceans,” says William Stephens, owner of The De Hoop Collection, a member of Cape Country Routes.

“As the preservation of our natural environment is of the highest importance for us at De Hoop, we’re offering guests a special opportunity to lend a hand in our quest for pristine preservation, and we invite you to join us for a special Beach Clean-Up Weekend and experience De Hoop at a discounted rate this May.”
