You know it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas when Steenberg Farm hosts its ever-popular carols evenings.

Festive cheer, award-winning wines and delicious comforting cuisine will abound in the beautiful Constantia Valley on Thursday, 12 December and Friday, 13 December as the estate presents this year’s edition of Steenberg Christmas Carols on the lawns outside Tryn Restaurant.

The annual showpiece has become a highlight of Cape Town’s festive season calendar, with hundreds of families and friends gathering to enjoy delightful Christmas favourites under the stars while celebrating the start of the summer holidays.

As per tradition, the festivities will be led by crooner and entertainer extraordinaire Kevin Abbott, who this year will be joined on stage by Cape Town R&B/funk band Jeodhouse.

The South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind and True North non-profit organisation will be present on the evening for donations.

An annual highlight, the best dressed competition, will once again form part of the festivities. Remember to don your favourite festive gear to stand a chance to win.

Steenberg has made a variety of packages available for the concert, which starts at 18h00 and ends at 21h00 on both nights (gates open at 17h00).

Adults who wish to enjoy the carols from Tryn Restaurant’s Oak Terrace can purchase tickets for R1 100 per person. The cost includes the concert fee, a three-course meal and a glass of Steenberg wine. Pricing is set at R360 for children under the age of 12, who will receive entrance to the concert, a Santa hat, two-course meal and juice.

“Lounge on the Lawn” allows concert-goers to bring their own blankets and chairs (seating to be placed on the lawn perimeter). General admission tickets for adults are R420 per person (includes concert fee and glass of Steenberg wine) and R215 for children under 12 (concert, Santa hat and juice).

Choose either from one of the available food vendors or treat yourself to an Alfresco Picnic Box at R795, prepared by Tryn and suitable for two guests.

Admission is free for all children under the age of 2. Food and beverage vendors will be available. Please note: no BYO (bring your own).

Bookings can be made through Quicket.
