48 hours to explore the KZN Dolphin Coast

The Dolphin Coast on the KwaZulu-Natal shoreline beckons with its serene beauty and laid-back atmosphere.

Excitement knows no bounds here as kids can revel in the thrill of jumping on trampolines, take part in laser tag battles, explore the snake park, or indulge in crafting sessions creating their own unicorn slime. Meanwhile, adults can browse the outdoor stores before savouring a delectable meal at Food Fundi or Seventeen87.

5. Collecting seashells

If your budget is a bit tight, take your family to one of the scenic beaches along the Dolphin Coast, such as Zinkwazi Beach, or Ballito Beach. Armed with buckets or bags, explore the shoreline during low tide and discover a treasure trove of seashells, colourful stones and interesting marine life like crabs and small fish in the tide pools. It’s an engaging and educational activity for kids, allowing them to learn about the coastal ecosystem while having loads of fun.
