As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Muslims around the world are entering a period of fasting, prayer and reflection. To ensure Muslim guests are comfortable and catered for while travelling during Ramadan, City Lodge Hotels has put together a special Suhoor Breakfast offering.

While City Lodge Hotels are not halaal, as they do not have halaal kitchens, all items on the Suhoor Breakfast tray are indeed halaal.

Guests staying at any Courtyard Hotel, City Lodge Hotel, Town Lodge or Road Lodge can order their Suhoor Breakfast tray from reception the day before, for collection from 04h00 in the morning for their pre-dawn meal.

The Suhoor Breakfast tray is R150 per person at Courtyard Hotels, City Lodge Hotels and Town Lodges, and R110 at Road Lodges, and consists of muesli, plain or flavoured yoghurt, mixed dried fruit, mini sliced fruit platter (consisting of sweet melon, paw paw and grapes), glass of fruit juice, whole fruit, Jungle Bar and a filled croissant with either chicken mayonnaise, cheese and tomato, or tuna mayonnaise.

“We are reminded of the values of peace, compassion and unity that this holy month represents. Regardless of our faith or beliefs, may we all strive to embody these values in our daily lives and work toward a more peaceful and harmonious world for all,” says Lindiwe Sangweni-Siddo, chief operating officer of City Lodge Hotels.
