The art of a Cape winter: Soul food and brandy

Mid-winter at Wilde Vy Bistro brings soul food and fine brandies from our kitchen and cellar to you, fireside at our bistro on the hill.

In collaboration with the South African Brandy Foundation, Chef Jürgen Snyman has masterminded a tasting selection of some of the finest potstill brandies that our country produces. These moments of liquid gold are served as a tasting of three brandy pours with a choice of three options, priced from R400 per person.

As an optional extra, opt for a selection of “Happies” (small plates) that have been paired with the brandies. Pairings include the Boschendal Potstill XO with a Snoek Cruller, Pickled Cucumber and Dill as well as the Durbanville Hills 10 YO Merlot Potstill Brandy with Snail Bon Bons for something different!

Chef Jürgen has also been cooking up a storm creating new dishes to entice this season, from his starters, mains from land and sea, to divine desserts.
