The Peech Hotel unveils Endless Summers: a boutique stay-and-dine experience

As the city warms and the days grow longer, The Peech Hotel invites guests to experience its new Endless Summers package.

Tucked away in the leafy suburb of Melrose, The Peech remains one of Johannesburg’s most loved boutique hotels, known for its easy charm, leafy gardens and genuine sense of hospitality. This fabulous summer offering is the perfect reason to slow down for a night or two, combining relaxed luxury, beautiful surroundings and exceptional dining at The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg.

Afternoons unfold at an unhurried pace between the hotel’s two pools, both set among the largely indigenous 2-acre central gardens. Guests can stretch out with a good book, sip a glass of chilled rosé or one of the hotel’s signature cocktails, and enjoy light meals served poolside. The calm of the gardens gives way to the soft sounds of the city beyond, offering a true urban escape.

As evening arrives, dinner at The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg brings the garden to life again. Guests can dine outdoors or on one of the terraces, sharing the restaurant’s delicious global small plates with punchy flavours for which The Pot Luck Club is known – perfect for long summer evenings spent over good food and conversation.

The relaxed rhythm continues the next morning with à la carte breakfast enjoyed al fresco, surrounded by gentle morning light. From lazy afternoons by the pool to long, easy breakfasts on the terrace, The Peech offers the perfect summer escape; a place where time slows down, conversation flows easily and every moment feels unhurried.

The Endless Summer package

Available Thursday to Saturday evenings, this package includes:

• One night stay for two people (additional nights available at extra cost).
• Complimentary bubbles on arrival.
• Summer Sundowner experience, with each guest invited to enjoy a complimentary tapas plate and house beverage any time between 16h00 and 18h00.
• Go on to enjoy the Prix Fixe Loaded Menu for dinner at The Pot Luck Club that evening.
• Full à la carte breakfast the following morning before departure.

Subtle gestures such as a romantic turndown with bath salts and rose petals, and a take-home Polaroid from The Pot Luck Club team, add a personal touch to the experience. The package is available from R6 000 per couple, with bookings accepted up to 30 days in advance.

Summer Sundowner Sessions

Available Thursday to Saturday, 16h00 to 18h00

As the days grow warmer, guests can enjoy Summer Sundowner Sessions in The Peech gardens, on the patio or at the rooftop bar. The Pot Luck Club’s aperitivo inspired tapas menu pairs perfectly with house cocktails, chilled wines or local craft beer. From R145 per person, guests can enjoy their first tapas plate of choice with a complimentary cocktail, glass of wine or beer. Additional tapas and drinks can be ordered thereafter. Various South African wine estates will feature throughout the season, offering crisp whites, rosés and sparkling wines by the glass or bottle as the sun sets. The tapas menu includes fresh oysters, fish tacos, short rib roti and prawn cocktail, with vegetarian options available.

Weekend Jazz Lunch with Bottomless Bubbles

Available Saturday and Sunday, from 12h30

Weekends at The Pot Luck Club are made for long, lazy lunches. Guests are invited to enjoy live jazz with bottomless Graham Beck Brut and Rosé – or for those who prefer something more fruity, our team make exceptional mimosas and bellini’s (also bottomless).

The Pot Luck Club’s à la carte menu showcases dishes such as peri peri chicken with ajo blanco, kale and pepper salad and braai vinaigrette, and fish sliders on a steamed bun, with mojo dressing and miso mayo. To finish, there are indulgent desserts like the peanut butter bomb with banana mousse, honeycomb crunch and Frangelico sabayon, or the summery berry blossom with mascarpone dome, raspberry consommé, hazelnut meringue, lemon curd and popping candy. Vegetarian and pescatarian options are also available.

The full à la carte menu is available, as is the Prix Fixe Loaded set menu of 8 dishes at R845 per person. Bottomless bubbles (including mimosas and bellini’s) are R395 per person, available during lunch service with the last pour at 16h00.
